2012 Terroir to Table®: A Sustainable Brunch
About the Event
The bounty of the harvest is as American as apple pie and as intrinsic to the Napa Valley as the viticulture for which it is best known. This year, join us as we celebrate the wines and winemakers that define this true commitment to sustainable abundance: Cakebread Cellars (Julianne Laks), Etude (Jon Priest), Mumm Napa (Tamra Lotz) and Trefethen Family Vineyards (Hailey Trefethen).
To complement this array of superlative wines, local food growers and suppliers will provide the finest home-grown ingredients in the region. The menu, orchestrated by Silverado Chef Jeffrey Jake, will connect these culinary and oenophilic elements in artful – and delicious—ways!
Since enacting the first Agricultural Preserve in the United States in 1968 and carrying through today, the Napa Valley has the most comprehensive and stringent land-use and environmental regulations of any winegrowing region. Napa Valley Vintners has a focus on sustainable agriculture, and certifies wineries via its Napa Green program. Please join us to celebrate this long-standing commitment to sustainability, a healthy world and refined, discriminating palates.
