In less than a century the Napa Valley has gone from a little known farming community to an international icon. The reason? Some of the greatest wines in the world.
The Napa Valley’s rise to prominence has been driven by pioneer vintners whose wines have ascended to the pinnacle of wine perfection. The LEGENDS OF NAPA VALLEY tastings will illustrate the dramatic rise of Napa Valley through the prism of its greatest wines.
Over two days in November 2012 the history of Napa Valley will unfold in two morning sessions attended by a select group of tasters.
On the first day, Friday, November 16th, tasters will experience rare, legendary wines from founding wineries and from wineries that led the post Prohibition renaissance. The second day, Saturday, November 17th, will be devoted to the new pioneers of today. In addition, two of the Napa Valley’s legendary figures – Andy Beckstoffer and Heidi Peterson Barrett – will be honored with a comprehensive tasting of their signature wines.
Presented by The Tasting Panel Magazine, the LEGENDS OF NAPA VALLEY tastings will offer thirty-two tasters the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the history of the Napa Valley in a glass.
