Christina Kaelberer

Pastry Chef Christina Kaelberer brings a decade of pastry experience to Michael Chiarello’s highly acclaimed Bottega Napa Valley. After 5 years under celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Kaelberer brings the bounty of the Napa Valley and the traditions of Italian regional cuisine together to create a thoughtful, yet inventive dessert menu at Bottega. In collaboration with Chef Chiarello, Kaelberer creates inspired seasonal, modern dishes that continue to keep guests coming back for more.

Kaelberer, a Minneapolis native, received her culinary degree at The Art Institutes International of Minnesota. She perfected her craft at the prestigious Valrhona’s École du Grand Chocolat in the Rhône Valley in France. Among her many accomplishments, Kaelberer was a semi-finalist in the 2nd Annual StarChefs.com International Pastry Competition in 2011. A testament to her skills and style of cooking, the Improper Bostonian awarded Kaelberer “Best Dessert” in the 2011 Boston’s Best issue, saying “Pastry chef Christina Kaelberer’s exotic plays on familiar desserts have earned her a spot as one of the city’s must-watch rising stars.”
