Jon Bonné

Jon Bonné is the San Francisco Chronicle‘s wine editor, responsible for coordinating the paper’s wine coverage as well as the annual Top 100 Wines. He covers wine and spirits throughout Northern California and around the world, and his work has twice won James Beard Foundation Awards, as well as numerous awards from the Association of Food Journalists.

His book The New California Wine (Ten Speed Press), about the state’s emerging generation of winemakers, will be released in November.

Previously Bonné was lifestyle editor and wine columnist for and wine columnist for Seattle Magazine, and has written about wine for such top publications as Saveur, Food & Wine and Decanter.
