Nicholas Jackson

Nicholas Jackson joined Sotheby’s London in October 2011, where he was responsible advising clients on buying and selling wines, as well as inspecting and cataloguing wines for auction in London and Hong Kong.

In 2012, he moved to Sotheby’s Wine retail in New York, to help develop this new retail business, and to advise clients on fine wine buying and collecting

Nicholas started in retail wine, while studying for his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge. He was a member of the Cambridge University Wine Society, involved with organising dinners with Châteaux Lafite, Margaux, Haut Brion and tastings with top wineries worldwide. Nicholas honed his tasting skills as a member of the University Blind Wine Tasting team, competing against Oxford University and internationally in Champagne and Bordeaux.

In 2011, Nicholas was awarded the inaugural Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino scholarship for his WSET studies. In the same year, he was runner-up in the UK Young Wine Writer of the Year award.
