Born and raised in the small town of Kleinenbroich in Germany, Sarah Linkenheil always loved the adventure found in creating and preparing meals with her parents. Following her passion, she began studying as an apprentice with the Swissotel Dusseldorf in the summer of 1996.
Sarah gained experience at big name resorts as well as family owned restaurants such as the 5-Star Hotel Steigenberger Belvedere in Davos, Switzerland; Restaurant Fischstube Zurichhorn at the famous Lake Zurich, Switzerland; the Art Deco Hotel Montana in Lucerne, Switzerland, the 5-starred Lodge at Vail, Colorado and Sally’s Seafood on the Water at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.
At the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, she advanced from an international intern to culinary supervisor of the newly opened, French inspired fine-dining Restaurant “Vue.” It was there that she was promoted to Sous Chef under Executive Chef Pascal Coudouy in 2005. Sarah brings over 15 years of culinary experience and is joining the Andaz Hotel Napa embracing the local wine and food culture and bringing her wealth of experience to Napa Valley. Chef Sarah is passionate about using fresh herbs, interesting spice mixes, bright flavors and is inspired by flavors from around the globe. Her cooking has many influences, but her recipes always come from the heart.
